Fanaticism - Various (Feat)

The Mojo Rules! roleplay rules system defines characters by their abilities and unique features, which we call feats. Fanaticism - Various is a feat for characters who've been born or spent time in the Untamed Empires (external link) realm of Suzerain.

Description:

The character has a true faith in his religion, but it's too much for him and consumes him. He may not have Fanaticism in more than one religion, but may choose to focus his Fanaticism on one god or Archangel or Avatar. For example, a character may choose Fanaticism Trinity. If he's a Hussar, he might choose to focus on one Archangel or another, perhaps Fanaticism - Trinity/Mihel or Fanaticism - Trinity/Natanel (but only one). This counts as both Fanaticism - Trinity and Fanaticism - Mihel (or Natanel, or whichever Archangel). Living up to the demands of his fanaticism is a constant struggle that often draws the character into conflict with bystanders. Whenever the character wishes to act against the religion's teachings, he must first pass a Resolve check with a negative modifier of -1 per rank of Fanaticism. Failure results in one point of mental stun damage per rank of Fanaticism, plus one point of mental stun damage per point he failed by... and the character can't bring himself to do that action. Worse, the character expects others to hold themselves to the same rigorous level of spiritual discipline. Whenever he sees another person acting against the core tenets of the religion and chooses not to confront them, he must make a Resolve check. If he fails, he must confront them and takes mental stun damage as above.

Just like a character with Faith, fanatics may undertake holy quests; actions that directly lead to the success of that quest receive a +1 modifier.
